Shadows and Shallows a Painting on the River

Here I’m trying to capture the shadows on the water, the dappled sun and reflections. Because this river gets shallow soon after the rains subside the bottom is also very apparent. All of these elements are changing and moving constantly. Painting this plein air piece all the while children were also drifting by on colourful inflated tubes changing the ripples on the surface.
