River Rapids a plein air painting

River Rapids 12"X9" Oil on Canvas Panel

Went down to the river to paint the water, picked this spot to study the rapids and what the patterns look like. This Seagull was good enough to pose for most of the time I was out there. He also has a salmon slung over a rock (not shown here). There is a salmon run happening right now and the riverbanks are starting to get a little stinky.
